About WE ARE Physiotherapy

WE ARE Physio is a physical therapy continuing education company focused on delivering high-quality, evidence-informed content to enhance physical therapists' confidence, skillset, and clinical reasoning to deliver better care to their patients. Our mission is to empower physical therapists to provide the best possible care to their patients by providing them with the latest knowledge and skills in the field of physical therapy.

Kyle Feldman, PT, DPT, OCS, CSCS, FAAOMPT

Founder & Lead Faculty

Dr. Kyle Feldman is the Founder and Owner of WE ARE.

He graduated from Shenandoah University in 2011 with a pre-physical therapy degree which transitioned to the completion of his Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2014. He played wide receiver for the SU football team and during his senior season became an Academic All-American. 

 

As a student physical therapist, he traveled with the university to Haiti, Nicaragua, and Ghana to perform and teach physical therapy to local therapists. Since graduating he has mentored and taught therapists in Kenya, Ghana, Nicaragua, Ecuador, and Haiti.  

 

He completed a year-long residency through UVA/Virginia Orthopedic Manual Therapy Institute (VOMPTI) and became a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) in 2016. He is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). He completed a year-long post-doctoral Manual Physical Therapy Fellowship at the University of Illinois at Chicago with an emphasis on chronic pain and manipulations. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Therapists (FAAOMPT). 

 

Kyle serves as the Director of Physical Therapy for ReEnvision Physical Therapy, where he oversees operations of 6 clinics across multiple states while also still providing patient care. He also has teaching roles in the DPT program at Shenandoah University as well as faculty in the VOMPTI Orthopedic Residency program. 

 

He is on the Board of Trustees for Shenandoah University, Executive Board for Shenandoah University Alumni Association, multiple other local non-profit boards, and volunteers at the local free medical clinic. 

 

He lives in Winchester, VA with his wife Olivia, daughters Collette and Audrienna, and dog Huxley. His hobbies include playing sports, working out, cooking, hiking, and golfing.

Joey Bikkers, PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT

Assistant Faculty

Dr. Joey Bikkers is the co-owner of Smithfield Physical Therapy Specialists and assistant faculty with WE ARE. He graduated from Shenandoah University with a bachelor's of science in biology in 2013 and his doctor of physical therapy in 2016. During his time in his entry-level education, he was very active with the APTA Student Assembly, as well as a number of volunteer programs in Winchester. Prior to a career in physical therapy, he also has experience working in the laboratory medicine setting, working with advising on offsite lab ordering and processing/resulting in-house lab work.

He completed a manual therapy certificate program through Evidence in Motion in 2018 before moving onto and completing a fellowship in orthopaedic manual physical therapy through Bellin College in 2022. He is currently recognized as a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (AAOMPT).

A local business owner in Smithfield, VA, Joey is currently the chairman of the board of directors for the Isle of Wight County Chamber of Commerce. He remains engaged outside of the clinic with the profession, serving on the APTA Magazine Editorial Advisory Group, serving as a peer reviewer for multiple journals, contributing as a physical therapist with the development of a clinical practice guideline via the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and contributing to novel research in the field of physical therapy. He and his wife, Victoria, own and operate Smithfield Physical Therapy Specialists.
