Dr. Kyle Feldman
PT, DPT, OCS,CSCS, FAAOMPT
Dr. Kyle Feldman is the Founder and Owner of WE ARE. He graduated from Shenandoah University in 2011 with a pre-physical therapy degree and earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2014. He played wide receiver for the SU football team and became an Academic All-American during his senior season.
As a student physical therapist, Kyle traveled to Haiti, Nicaragua, and Ghana to perform and teach physical therapy to local therapists. Since graduating, he has mentored and taught therapists in Kenya, Ghana, Nicaragua, Ecuador, and Haiti.
He completed a year-long residency through UVA/Virginia Orthopedic Manual Therapy Institute (VOMPTI) and became a Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) in 2016. He is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and completed a post-doctoral Manual Physical Therapy Fellowship at the University of Illinois at Chicago, focusing on chronic pain and manipulations. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Therapists (FAAOMPT).
Kyle serves as Director of Physical Therapy for ReEnvision Physical Therapy, overseeing six clinics across multiple states while maintaining an active patient caseload. He also teaches in the DPT program at Shenandoah University and serves as faculty in the VOMPTI Orthopedic Residency program.
He is actively involved in his community, serving on the Shenandoah University Board of Trustees, the Executive Board of the SU Alumni Association, and several local nonprofit boards. He also volunteers regularly at a local free medical clinic.
Kyle lives in Winchester, VA with his wife Olivia, daughters Collette and Audrienna, and dog Huxley. His hobbies include sports, working out, cooking, hiking, and golfing.
Assistant Faculty
Dr. Joey Bikkers
PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT
Dr. Joey Bikkers is co-owner of Smithfield Physical Therapy Specialists and assistant faculty with WE ARE. He earned a B.S. in Biology (2013) and a Doctor of Physical Therapy (2016) from Shenandoah University, where he was active in the APTA Student Assembly and local volunteer programs. Before becoming a physical therapist, he worked in laboratory medicine, advising on offsite lab orders and processing in-house lab work.
Joey completed the manual therapy certificate through Evidence in Motion (2018) and a fellowship in orthopedic manual physical therapy through Bellin College (2022). He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (FAAOMPT).
A clinic owner in Smithfield, VA, Joey serves as chair of the APTA Orthopaedics CPG Development workgroup, is a Specialization Academy of Content Experts (SACE) item writer for the primary care specialty, has multiple publications in peer reviewed journals, has served as a peer reviewer for multiple journals, and has presented at multiple conferences on the topics of clinical reasoning, differential diagnosis, and clinical decision making.
